Meet living legend Junior Marvin from The Wailers and new musical sensation The Phoenix Rose
Come and join us this Friday (2-4pm) at this intimate impromptu and very special 'meet and greet' showcase
The musical greats of our lives have been in our hearts and minds so powerfully this year with Prince and Bowie departing this world.
Another true legend was Bob Marley – arguably the greatest artist that ever lived – with his awesome band The Wailers.
Junior Marvin was Bob’s lead guitarist and right-hand man, and he continued to front The Wailers when Marley passed.
When Marley decided on the musical vision of reggae rock, British-born and Jamaican-raised Junior Marvin was ushered in to provide the guitar licks and solos we will never forget.
In celebration of the debut album launch on 06 May 2016, Jarvis Smith, lead singer from The Phoenix Rose and a founding member of the Library, has invited his good friend and fellow recording artist Junior Marvin – who features on the album – to play some of the songs we all love, tell some stories and chat about why he decided – with all with his musical experience, genius and wisdom – that The Phoenix Rose was the band to back.
Junior Marvin is launching his new album, ‘Unite the time is Right’, at the end of June and will be touring the UK this summer. His single 'Reggae Rock' drops at the end of May.
The Phoenix Rose single and video ‘Destination’ – which has reached number one in the global reggae charts – launched on 25 March, and has already received massive TV support in America and radio support here in the UK. It has featured heavily on award-winning music blogs as a premiere and song of the day. The video has received well over 60k views in just four weeks and continues to spread like wildfire!
The Phoenix Rose's album is out on 06 May 2016 and is available to pre-order now on iTunes and Amazon.See the video and more here:
